Oatmeal Cookies

• 1 1/2 cup shortening
• 1 1/2 cup sugar
• 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 3 eggs
• 3 tsp vanilla
• 2 1/4 cup flour
• 1 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 4 1/2 cups oatmeal

Mix and spoon on baking sheet

Bake:  350 degrees

Time:  10 minutes

This recipe came from my mother.  We had these cookies often growing up.  Mom always added raisins if she had them and nuts because my Dad loved nuts.
